Descriptive analysis of social media users Name Institutional affiliation Descriptive analysis of social media users Abstract The proposal is about the descriptive analysis of social media users on the Internet. The study seeks to evaluate the factors that determine the motivation of the users of media such as Facebook. Accordingly, there are several social media outlets, but a primary emphasis is on Facebook. Therefore there are several reasons people are on social media. Some of the reasons that will determine the user’s motivation of Facebook are that people get quick access to news and upcoming events. Others enjoy the conversations with friends and in so doing have to be in a position that allows them to communicate always with friends. The reasons mentioned are few of the reasons that motivate people to use social media such as Facebook. In this proposal, there will be an active demonstration of how ECU is vital in attracting users and inspiring them to use the media most of the times. Therefore, the achievement of the study is to evaluate the databases, and information online to get a proper and clear explanation of the factors that motivate users to use the media such as Facebook. Consequently, there will be several steps taken in the accomplishment of the proposal. Accordingly, the primary objective of the study is to determine the factors, which motivate people to use Facebook. The objectives will be investigating the effect of information on Web. The second objective will be to identify the factors that inspire people on that use Facebook. The last goal will be to come up with a conclusive explanation of the effect of Facebook on the society that intensively uses it. The thesis centers on the understanding of the researchers on two important factors. One of these factors is the Descriptive analysis of factors that motivate social media users to get inspiration from media. The second one is the position of the researcher supportive of the fact that social media such as Facebook has had a positive effect on the users than is adverse. The results are active in the social, commercial, business, recreational, and professions to mention a few. The methodology of approaching the Proposal will be both Qualitative and Quantitative. In the qualitative approach, there will be an in-depth analysis of the factors that motivate social media users such as those on Facebook. In the quantitative approach, there will be the use of numerical data to get the numbers of Facebook users, their increase with mathematical parameters, and graphs. Other points considered are the participants who are to respond the question tools such questionnaires, and checklists. Other tools used are interviews and observations. The research questions centre on sub-topics such as factors that motivate users on Facebook. The other point is the effect of Facebook on the users. Data analysis seeks to understand the effects of these factors. For this reason, the use of SPSS will give mathematical meaning to the process. Similarly, data collection centers on Primary and Secondary sources which are witnesses and literature like books respectively. The result of the study shows that Facebook, one of the social Medias on the Internet contribute positively to the lives of the users. The study will clearly pinpoint out the positive effective of Facebook while giving the significance of understanding the factors that motivate social media users to utilise media such as Facebook. Future studies on Social media will get ideas to understand the effect of Facebook on its users. Introduction To determine the descriptive analysis of the factors that motivates several users of social medias to use the network continuously. It is true that people can communicate overseas online within a short time. This effective way of communication has led to the sharp up rise of the use of such social networks. Consequently, everyone wishes to be part of the fast moving world whereas keeping in touch with one another. For the past several years, an emergence of the World Wide Web (WWW) has happened because of the very exponential growth of social Medias. In other words, the definition of a social media is a structure comprising of several parts such companies all associated with themselves through social relationships. The relationships are familial, friendly, professional, and recreational among others. Among several social Medias and networks, there is Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, We Chat, Chat, WhatsApp, Viber, and Gmail. The networks are in the lead as far as the revolutionization of systems matters. That is to say, there are ongoing several conversations in line with the systems in as far as interests matter. Therefore, millions of people communicate with one another. The communications are through networks. The old media are such as Facebook, and Gmail. Even other new networks such as Instagram are in deep use by lovers of social media. The truth is that, to find a linkage of the users to one another is a vital lesson for several pieces of research. The knowledge learned is about Social media as there is the provision of insight into the world of operation of these entities. The understating of the entities helps in the making of effective conclusions and deductions concerned with the social network. In today’s world, many transactions occur through the media. Such transactions include payments such as PayPal and money transfer. The other transactions are communications such as lectures as there are online lessons, which continue as students find work for the semester online. Researchers communicate with each another in a similar manner that family members would communicate. The truth is that, whereas it is seemingly impossible for a father to talk with a son if the two are several miles apart, there is a way. For example, if the father is in Asia with son in the Australia, the two can communicate because of the existence of the network. The used systems are efficient given that the Internet bundles have a payment. Most of the conversations across one continent are possible through networks that are fast. The speed associated with Facebook is gratifying that men and women are now conducting online meetings. All required members are present through their contributions made online. The meeting is so flexible as compared to the physical ones. Through online meetings, they save time and the promotion of efficiency as issues are readily in the pipeline for execution. The feedback is so useful that people will understand one another over the given network. The best way to come up with a good understanding of social networks is with the help of metrics that are acceptable and similar to one another. Objectives In order to understand the factors that inspire people to use social media, the following objectives need answers. The objectives are; 1. Having a positive and adverse effects of using social networks 2. To study the operation and organization of Facebook 3. To understand friendliness of Facebook Literature Review There is an increase in nature between two people who are having other friends that have few friends. The reason is that as the two people spend much time communicating with another as compared to the other friends who have fewer friends, there is an adoption of a common underrating between the two. The so much thing that two people spend communicating lets them understand one another to the fullest and eases future relations with one another. There has been the development of a tool that looks at the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of social networks to understand the structure of Facebook with procedures. These systems include mathematical techniques and algorism, which are Breadth – First – Search also known as BFS and Computerized Methods (Adar, 2009). The BFS uses graphs that model the idealistic nature of Facebook operations and organizations. There is an ontology of several features used in the understanding of graphs with an explicit analysis in the areas of experience. The groups are in a good classification based on a given model of expertise. Other software engineers went ahead to use software such as NETVIZZ to come up with an understanding of the pages of Facebook (Reider 2010). There is a variation on the page of algorithm having an influence to get several users into the use of Facebook and as well, as create a retweet graph as far as the Twitter media matters. There is the analysing of textual in a formation known by a given number users of Facebook. The information helps in the identification of what a particular individual discussed in a certain way for the better understanding of Facebook. The system goes ahead to give a meaning to the homepage of certain users of a cluster of users on Facebook. On Facebook, the users will have to discuss ideas by expressing a positive or adverse remark according to what they want in as far as a certain area is in concern. Accordingly, there is a crawler in Facebook whose main purpose is to retrieve posts. The crawler operates based on a graph Algorithmic Plan Item (API) and Frequency Query Language. The ideas such as comments, likes, and messages are such that a process of retrieving them occurs per post (Reider, 2010). For the operation of the Facebook User Analyser (FUPA), a procedure of movement occurs in the idea of User Root methods as shown in Figure 1. There are in Figure 1. Figure 1. Facebook User Analyser. There are several Facebook Graphs designed in Java for the purposes of getting messages and creating queries. There are valid cases in which a token is for invoking Facebook services. A cluster of permission help in the creation of contexts with particular pragmatic uses for a given person. There have to be clients for which information on Facebook is easily accessible with nest step supposed to get the fetch object way of doing the work with result of creating a Facebook page. The basis of this operation is to the User Root method (Reider 2010). Information extraction In this step, the data categorized into several areas of concern such as names, sex, history, and education among others exists. There several objects on the return into the links of data related now. Information as per the Facebook policies allows for one to fill in data concerning a person’s sex, family, and so many related others for the purposes of identifying the person. The mathematic approach is as follows. Category Identification The basis is on User Roots with specific areas of concern such as a variation of Facebook arrays. In this level, the version of the dictionary has an operation on the basis of the Linguistic Inquiry and the Word Count (LIWC). The analysis of the texts is due to Main word that should match the dictionary one in a precise and understandable manner. Polarity Calculation This involves identification of individual major topics using the User Root. The next step is a classification of the polarity of sentiment as either negative or positive. However, there is a third option that the neutral one, which would mean that the selected identity is neither positive nor negative but lies in between the two in terms of sense. Family Friends Humans Positive emotion Negaitve emotion Anxiety Anger Sadness Inhibition Home Money Religion Death Work Time Body Sport Sexual Certainty Affective For mathematical purposes, Where Experimental results The results on the use of Facebook are to be conclusive of everyone that has the access to the social network. Several ideas emerge from a cross section of generations of people. The truth is that different people have several uses of Facebook. Some people want to chat with the friends and family as compared to others who are strictly professional in the deals with other people in the business sector. Others love Facebook because of being in a position of modernity and a stature of real knowledge. Thesis statements According to personal views, social networks have a more positive effect on social users than expected. People felt inspiration from using social media. The growth is in several areas such personality, finance, and economy to mention a few. It is true that some people do not see the significance of such media to the best of their advantage but misuse it. Research questions In order to conduct the study adequately, several question are important such as; 1. What are that positive and negative effects of using social networks? 2. What is the simplicity of Facebook? 3. For what duration does one use Facebook in a day? 4. How effective are relationships on Facebook? Method To achieve Objective One, a random sample of participants from various areas will answer a questionnaire. For objective two, acre study on the operations and functioning of Facebook will occur through extensive reading on related literature. Objective three will have a realization through free asking and answering by interviewer and participants respectively. For the proposal, there will be both the use of qualitative and quantitative analysis. The quantitative analysis will include a mathematical formula in Statistics will be wanting such as the average, mode, frequencies of the number of people interviewed (Participants). The number of participants will be 150 from various areas picked through random sampling. Software such as SPPS will just work. Several factors got from the participants will have to undergo in-depth analysis. There will be a systematic critical assessment to come up with deductive points as to why these factors inspire people. Data analysis. As earlier mentioned, SPSS will analyse all the data from the field where participants answered related questions. Several charts and tables will undergo development to bring a clear view for the people interested in the study. Data collection Data will be secondary and primary. Primary sources will be the participants who use Facebook. The Internet and related literature about Facebook are secondary. One other thing is people who may not have necessarily had access to media yet have something worth to mention about it. Data Instruments Collection of data will be through tools such as questionnaires, written related literature on Social networks, observations, and checklists. Collecting ideas to take will follow a professional manner. Procedure Several steps will follow suit to come up with the proposal. For example, the informing of concerned authorities about the study so that the interested people are aware of what is going on. Following the code of ethics for asking information from participants, the studies will proceed. Examination of these factors followed by a related descriptive analysis will occur. Justification The execution of this research provides more insight into the researchers and other interested readers the meaning attached to factors, organization and operation of social networks such as Facebook in terms of society. The research will bring out the good and evil of Facebook and other related systems. References Adams, G. (2013).
