 It is important to mention that although the survey was mainly involved female academic staff, the aspect of gender was employed in the research because the study was carried out in two universities, and the participants in the survey were both male and female staff. Specifically, King Saud University had male and female participants while Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University had female participants only. The research targeted female participants only; the data were filtered so as to show only the responses made by female participants.

The respondent was asked, "What is the university you are currently employed at?" From the filtered results, there were 171 responses, out of which 91 participants indicated that they were employed at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University while the remaining 80 pointed out that they were working at King Saud University. These results, including percentages of responses in comparison to the total number, a larger percentage (approximately 53 percent) of the survey participants were working at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University and 47 percent of them were working at King Saud University. To ensure comparisons are not made between the two universities.

Respondents were asked, "How many courses/subjects do you use Blackboard as part of your teaching?" Responses to this question were categorized from members of staff who did not use LMS in any subject or course, to those who used LMS in teaching some subjects/courses, and to those who used LMS in teaching all their subjects/courses.

The findings are as follows. Out of the 174 responses given, 103 indicated that the participants were not using Blackboard in teaching any course/subject. It indicates over half of the participants (59.2 percent) were not using Blackboard in teaching any subject/course. Thirty-two responses (18.4 percent of the participants) suggested the use of Blackboard in teaching some of the courses/subjects while 9 participants (5.2 percent) indicated that they were using the LMS in teaching most of the subjects/courses. Another 30 participants indicated that they used Blackboard in all the subjects/courses that they teach.
