Several initiatives have been taken by the diplomats in order to build trust between the international community and Iran. But most of the proposals have not gained acceptance from the various parties involved and therefore, the efforts to tackle the nuclear problem has been continuing. “Threats of military action by the US and its Middle Eastern ally, the Israeli regime, against Iran, as well as the illegal unilateral sanctions by Washington and the European Union are based on the unsubstantiated allegation that Iran is covertly seeking to militarize its nuclear technology, a claim Iran has categorically rejected” (the US Prefers Diplomacy to Resolve Iran Nuclear Issue: Kerry par.9).The Western Countries do not trust Iran to have the strict civilian nuclear program and has perceived the country’s intention as aggressive.
