The paper "Consumer Behaviour" is a marvelous example of a marketing personal statement. Recently I sought out to buy a Sony Xperia Z2 tablet that was the latest version in the market. It had everything I needed and was far very light as compared to other tablets in the market. Little did I know that there was a lot of consumer market behavior incurred in my purchase of the gadget? First of all, before the gadget was produced the company put into consideration consumer demographic information where they realized that the high processor tablet would be highly purchased by the youth between the ages of 18-35.
The gadget price was quite high, but the company producing the gadget knew that it had everything its target market needed and as such the product will be consumed. Secondly, The Company understood the values of me as a customer; I personally value sonny Xperia products and will go to any length to acquire one. The product always delivers and in many cases transform my life. The marketing mix of the product was also in a place where all the feature s of the gadget were unique and suited exactly what I wanted; for starters, I needed a lighter tablet that I could easily carry around.
Though the price was fairly high the product came with a discount of 10% and this highly motivated me to acquire the gadget. Consumer behavior market segment was in a place where the gadget I acquired was more personal, it suited my age and the purpose I wanted. I personally wanted the tablet to help me in conducting research and completing my assignments. The company too, producing the gadget was also in line with the present day lifestyle where technology is the order of the day and people are competing to better themselves in the field of technology and such improved state of tablets perfectly fall into the market segment with a bang. As such with me buying the Sonny Xperia tablet, Consumer behavior pattern was clearly in place.
