Sepsis is a medical complication led to irritation in the entire body because of the infection. During sepsis complications, the chemical is released into human blood and causes widespread inflammation. Furthermore, inflammation may significantly lead to damage to the organs of the body because blood clotting during the time of Sepsis reduces the flow of blood into limbs as well as other internal organs and reduces the level of nutrients and oxygen. In the early scenario, it is observed that one or more organs of people suffering from Sepsis complications fail.

However, the scenario gets worse when the infection led to a significant fall in blood pressure, known as septic shock, which causes failure of multi-organs including lungs, kidneys, and liver. Thus, the complication of Sepsis arises when people suffer from infection and chemicals that release in the blood to fight the infection and develop inflammation in the entire body (WebMD, LLC, 2015; OConnell, 2012). In this concern, it can be highlighted that people of young and old age, with low immune systems, ICU patients, and patients on whom invasive devices like intravenous catheters are at high risk of developing sepsis.

On the other hand, people having complications regarding lower amounts of urination, low platelet count, breathing complications, abnormal heart rate, fall in body temperature, unconsciousness and extreme level of weakness are the key symptoms of sepsis. Besides, it can be affirmed that anyone can develop sepsis, as it is most common among adults and people having weak immune systems. In this regard, the early treatment of sepsis is generally taken place with the help of antibiotics, which likely improves the possibility of survival. Additionally, it has been estimated that around 900,000 to 3 million people suffer from the issue of sepsis in the US and amongst them, around 15-30% of the patient died, and are regarded as one of the major causes of death in the nation (Sepsis Alliance, 2013).
