It is strongly believed that nurse practitioners work for the safety of the people. The nurses need to take into concern varied teachings based on smoking cessation in order to form, develop and maintain a smoke-free environment (Newhouse et al., 2011). The problem of smoking is vital, as it leads to several health issues and also death. It will be important for the nurses to provide adequate mental support to people so that they are encouraged to reduce the use of tobacco and lead a healthy life in the future. Statement of the Problem and Purpose of the StudyIn relation to the above context, the major problem is to understand the negative consequences of smoking and thus realizing the need for delivering the teachings related to smoking cessation.
