Loss of innocence Innocence usually associates with youth and ignorance. The evils that occur in the world correlates with the loss of innocent life. the loss of innocence are mostly culture-specific and also bounded by different religions. It refers to something that is so sacred. Committing a crime that leaves a scar in an individual, for example, a massacre will let people’s hearts bleeding with fresh scars because of the loss of loved ones. Loss of innocence demonstrates struggles or issues of history in many ways (Jonsson et al. 23). If one is aware of a victim who cause unforgettable and an unforgivable crime, they tend to lose a type of innocence.
This medium manifest in the movie ‘am not scared’, where an innocent boy thinks the father is a good track driver. Only to discover that he is a kidnapper and was responsible for the kidnap of the boy he wishes to save. This medium leaves him in a dilemma whether to save the kidnapped boy or not since the father is involved. Loss of innocence also demonstrates struggle where an individual feels helpless angered and betrayed when they think they could trust the person.
For instance, in the movie the 10-year-old boy Michele struggles with the concealed truth at such a tender age that peeled off her protective blinders (Patterson and Julia 12). Feeling of unworthy encompasses an individual whose innocence is lost, and they sometimes struggle associating with others and taking up challenges. It creates fear in humanity. For example, a post-election violence scenario instills fear mistrust and scars in people, therefore, leaves people struggling to belong yet they know they are not protected.
