Sex education’s basis must come from the domains of the child’s home. His home is his fundamental nursery. It grooms him, teaches him through thick and thin, allows him to play and mold his life in accordance with his as well as his parents and siblings’ needs and desires.

Parents find it hard to understand that their kids must be given sex education at home. They usually do not buy the theory of imparting much-needed sex education to them. They somehow or the other tend to delay the whole process of their child getting acquainted with the sex education regimes. In some perspectives, their ideology is pretty much valid since they find it hard to relate their own self with teaching their young ones the good and the bad concerning sex and its different shades. They find it odd to discuss issues like rape, molestation, private parts, and so on. Thus the whole exercise starts to become complicated right from the word go and hence their perspectives are more of a no-no against sex education than anything else.

On another tangent, sex education if taught properly to a child could make him realize what potential problems the young one might fall into. This kid will realize that there has to be an earnest effort on his part to keep away the individuals who want to take advantage of him and thus thwart any such attempts which negatively put a scar on his flowery self. If he does not know about sex education in the first place, courtesy a great deal due to the lack of understanding displayed on the part of the parents themselves, then he might fall within the trap and become someone’s prey in entirety. (Armstrong, 1995) Thus sex education is deemed as significant from the fact that it will only make him strong and determined to take on the people who demean this child and want to take away his childhood just in a whisker of a second.

Then again, the role of parents needs to be outlined back and forth. This is because parents have the eventual responsibility of providing shelter, food, and clothing for their children and it would only be fitting if they provided them their much-needed sex education as well. In this paper, the stance thus taken has been of a pro one where blame is put on the parents themselves. They are responsible for teaching their young ones all about sex education and thus mold their lives in accordance with the moral and ethical teachings. (Author Unknown, 2000) All of these form up as a significant whole for the personality that so develops within a young one in his future years. Having a clear-cut understanding of sexual issues in the form of its education by the children helps them to keep away from the strangers as well as remain in close vicinity of their homes whilst playing or roaming around their neighborhoods. This makes them feel secure as well as in total control of their own selves at all times.

In the end, it is important to comprehend that sex education will only prove to one and all that parents can do a lot towards the betterment of their children in any and every way possible. They will be better humans, safe from the strangers within the society, and look to teach their children once they get married with the same-sex education that their parents taught them. All said and done, the role of parents under such a discussion is of immense importance and one that could be stated as the torchbearer under such settings and regimes. The children do not have any clue as to what they will face within their lives, thus making it all the more significant that their parents realize the need to acquaint them at the earliest. This will help shape up their character in more ways than one within the future.
