Late Sitting is a Curse Outline Late sitting worldwide is a curse and especially to those individuals who believe that their lives are being governedby work domains more than anything else. There is an opposite perspective available as well as the people who believe that late sitting is a good omen for increasing business are also in good numbers. What is important is the manner in which both these viewpoints are discussed, analyzed and finalized upon. However, all things taken into consideration – the bottom line remains that late sitting is one problem which must be resolved, the sooner the better. The organizational levels think of these ideologies in a differential manner nonetheless. What deems more significant is how late sitting has come about as a bane for the people of this world who would ideally like to spend their lives with their near and dear ones, and not at work alone. This paper has highlighted how late sitting has proven to be a problem of sorts and how it could be done away with once and for all if proper measures and steps are taken by the people who matter the most within such equations. Even though late sitting is a problem for a lot of people, it usually benefits the organizations because they do not have to pay extra on certain occasions plus they get the work done easily and without much fuss. However, this is an aspect that entails much negativity right from the very outset of such discussions because late sitting is indeed a problem and will remain so until proper measures are taken. Late Sitting is a Curse My perspective on late sitting is that it must be forbidden. This is because late sitting creates a sense of imbalance and disparity in life that one can only ask for vacations to set things right. The late sitting premise is one that is not given much significance within the professionals’ life domains. They need to be made sure that late sitting does not hamper their work life balance, yet this is always the case in more ways than one. There is an ideology that suggests that late sitting will always be taken as a problem and there is a good reason to believe such an opinion and perspective. This is because the late sitting aspect creates a backlog of personal tasks as well as professional ones, which is a sound reason to know that late sitting stems from immense issues to begin with. My perspective has been given strength after I encountered how late sitting has been able to pose serious problems for me within my own work realms. It created a backlog of all things that were personal to me, and my family life started to suffer as a result. This made me realize where I was going wrong in my priorities and what I needed to do to set things right. The other side of the debate is also interesting to note. This is because this perspective showcases how well the viewpoint has been developed. It states that late sitting might happen because work becomes too much to handle and that it has to end by a certain time. In other words, deadlines are important as they mean business to any organization and hence the profits depend on them a great deal. The organizational top heads believe that it is in their own interest if they ask their employees to sit late and complete all their work tasks. This shall enable them to achieve their results and get most work done out of their relevant capacities. It would also allow the organization to achieve its profit marks and hence the expectations that it has of the employees in the long run (Stuart 45). These are essentially the counter-points that can be offered in the wake of understanding the late sitting premise more and more. These counter-points have largely addressed the concerns and queries that organizations have of their employees, but what they have forgotten to find out is the manner in which employees can give their best by having a proper work routine in place. This is the need of the hour and should be answered as such without any issues that will come to the fore. In rebuttal, I shall state that every individual has got his own life and he must spend it in a way that he finds it feasible. The professional domains must not limit his life in any way and he should always concentrate on having the much needed balance within his life. His family should also be happy about the work timings that he is adhering to and this must not mean anything wrong for not only his own life but also the ones who surround him (Burke & McAteer 77). The refutation is all the more significant because it is necessary to know where one has been wrong and how corrective measures can be taken and at the earliest. The work life balance is, therefore, mandatory to achieve because it ensures quite a good amount of equality which forms up as the vital ingredient within the life’s mix. In the end, my final conclusion suggests that even though I have always been vocal about late sittings, there is little that I have heard from other people within the same dimensions, which is somewhat of a surprise to me. It has made me feel where I am going wrong within my priorities and what I ought to do in order to set things right. Only my own intervention would do this and no one will come forward and help me in this regard (Barnett 72). If people stand up and get their point across to the organizational folds, no one can stop them and they will eventually receive the positives that are attached to achieving the work life balance. This is required because it will set things right for a number of people around the world and make their lives easier to spend and all the more comfortable in the end.
