"Breastfeeding Versus Bottle Feeding" is a great example of a paper on child development.
Doctors encourage mothers to breastfeed. Breastfeeding helps in the bonding of an infant and the mother and also has health benefits for both the infant and the mother. Breastfeeding is affordable compared to bottle-feeding (Thomaz 764). Therefore, during an infant’s development, a mother should breastfeed to ensure the child’s brain develops as expected.at times a mother may experience difficulties in breastfeeding. This is a result of low milk production or postpartum depression. Having a good and reliable lactation consultant is may not be the solution as most difficulties in lactation are psychological. The guilt of not being able to breastfeed an infant can haunt a mother, and this will, in turn, lead to low milk.

At two months, there is a likelihood that a mother experiencing difficulty in lactation could be experiencing postpartum depression. This will, in turn, affect their milk production and even cause pain when breastfeeding. It is not advisable for a mother to bottle feed a child at this age as it may lead to health issues. Bottle feeding can only be an option if the lactating mother is unable to breastfeed. However, it will require one to try their best and breastfeed and also ask for help when needed.

Bottle feeding is not right for the baby as the milk provided may not be at the right temperature compared to breast milk. The items used while breastfeeding is also not sterilized, and this may affect the infants' health (Thomaz,768). Therefore, bottle feeding is not a good option for a two months old baby as the recommendation requires an infant to breastfeed up to six months before the bottle-feeding introduction. A mother should, therefore, take action and seek help given that she has a good lactation counselor with whom she can share the problem.

As a mother one needs to decide on how to raise their child and the people involved in the development. There are chances that one cannot always be by their child's side as they also have to work and provide for their family. This calls for a decision on who will take care of the child. At eight months, a child can now be taken care of by a caregiver, and this will give a positive impact (Thompson 21). However, it is a for a parent to make a decision of leaving their child with a caregiver then it requires a lot of strength a well-reasoned out options.

At eight months, a nanny can do better for the child. This is because a nanny will also engage with the rest of the children in the family and can, therefore, take good care of the child. A nanny is a stay-at-home caregiver and therefore, will build a good relationship with the child. An eight-month-old infant requires attention as at this time they want to touch everything. A nanny will, therefore, give all the attention required when the parent is not around.

Having someone at home with the child while at work is also convenient as there is nothing to fear. Some nannies also take care of the household duties as part of their contract. A nanny arrangement is the best option for a child's care, as this will create a good relationship that will have an impact on the child. This will impact the child both socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
