unit Introduction A cultural feasibility study is one that investigates the ethical, behavioral, scientific and social issues in the design and implementation of the project that is under development. The impacts tell project stakeholders to decide on what to do as the project progresses. The social cultural and ethical feasibility will look into the effects on the development designing and the continued way of operation of the proposed dental website system after installation. Cultural, Ethical or social feasibility on the proposed Dental appointment website The target group of people is not well known and will be included as the possible users of the system.

The culture of the people in the location of the health center does not view dentistry as a strange practice and hence will continue to embrace it even with the change of the mode of appointment. Observation is that though people will embrace the new system older people are more likely to be less attracted to modern technology and thus ways of making them get hooked should be part of the developed system. Also much of the people that were accessing the dental clinic may be IT illiterate and thus see the new system as a negative towards them.

Thus, a candid approach and inclusion of an IT tutorial on the system will be advisable to help the illiterate feel better using the system. Access to the Internet and the dental website will need the use of internet enabled devices and the use of the internet. The above mentioned are expensive and thus the social, economic factors of the people should beconsidered when developing the website. There may be cases where the access to the Internet in some places is restricted and thus the people seeking the dental bookings will suffer.

It’s also possible to have internet firewalls and proxy servers that specifically target dental websites. The general feeling of people using the system might get the thought of lack of trust on the system as psychologically they are used to the face to face doctor appointments and reservations. Others may feel that their privacy is being watched by a third party that they do not wish to disclose their information to. It is possible that the culture subjugates women and thus may deny them access to the internet and thus the service to the dental clinics.

This should be noted and a viable solution formulated. As an aspect of the ethical security the information of the clients and of the doctors can be comprised by hackers or viruses and faults in the operations of the IT system running the Website. Lastly there is a general misplaced dislike and perception about the internet based services that may be present in any culture. A possible solution must be in place to teach and change socially held beliefs about the use of technology. This will make the acceptance levels of the system better and reach more clients.
