Early childhood education is one thing that is person-specific and curriculum-dependent in the way it is constituted and detailed. According to David, 1998; Anning et al., 2008; Tietze and Cryer, 1999, Comparative analysis of early childhood education and care from an international perspective often identifies the Swedish approach to early childhood as the most progressive model. The specific area of interest is the way in which the Swedish model integrates pedagogy and care; the way it aspires to consistently high-quality standards of care that are available to all; and the way it is supported by stable financing which are all the tenets of its success.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is England’s official learning strategy for children aged from birth to five years old, has a number of similarities in its elements and concepts when compared to the Swedish Model. Some of these concepts include the basic structure and the influence of the Reggio Emilia approach to childhood and teaching (Anning et al., 2008, p.34). This paper is predicated on the following surmises which stage as the postulates that will inform its entire discussion.

It is from these surmises that the inferences made from the discussion and analyses herein will are based. These postulates as follows:Traditional trends from past on female workforce contribution to the country the Gross Domestic Product (GDP): In United Kingdom, it is 30% while in Sweden it is 40%.History of pre-schooling: By 1997 urban people were favored in the United Kingdom, though, this was changed.Early childhood overseeing ministries: The Swedish government has established Education Ministry while in the England case education is run by the Education and Skills Department.

These have divergent procedures of implementing policies and practices. The government support through the municipalities: In Swedish society special funds set aside to assist children and their families to comfortably fit while in the English setting education is funded mainly through the public and private education and care centers.
