The paper “ 5th Generation Mobile Networks Implementation and Applicability to the Internet of Things” is an impressive example of a literature review on information technology. The 5TH Generation or 5G mobile network is the next and evolving frontier in the mobile networks from the original 1st generation (1G) to the 4th Generation (4G) or just the LTE. The development of mobile technology from the analog (1G) to the LTE has been motivated by the demand to meet the requirements identified between that technology and the predecessor. For example, the evolution of the advanced from the 2G to 3G was facilitated by the need to enable mobile internet on consumer devices to allow the transmission of data within the network.

It was not until the 3.5G was developed that it brought about enhanced mobile internet experience that allowed he app-centric interfaces that are allowed today. This evolution in mobile networks has today made it possible for the people to use applications like email, streaming of videos, and controlling home appliances easily. After the 4G was rolled out worldwide, the 5G mobile networks are promising to improve the internet experience remarkably.

The growth in the mobile broadband has made come with enormous benefits to the people that have significantly improved the lives of many people through the services that are provided by the internet providers and the third party players like the people who are streaming live events and the one who are making the applications (Niaz, 2015). The prospects in the internet world today is the Internet of Things (IoT). The major questions that are being researched by many IT scientists worldwide are the role the implementation of the 5G will have on the enrollment of the Internet of Things.

The infrastructures and the specifications of 5G will be a major factor in determining how well the 5G will facilitate the rolling out of the Internet of Things. The moving from 3.5G to 4G was marked with access to faster data speeds and lower latency rates. This transformed the way people could access and use the intent on mobile devices dramatically. Across the world, it can be reported that internet consumers are now consuming more than double the amount of data that they could consume before the rollout of the 4G.

There is an increased level of video streaming and the exchange of bigger files over the mobile internet. This is attributed to the 4G. This shows that the leap from one generation of mobile internet is marked by a leap in consumption habits and a change in the reason that the data is consumed for. Therefore, in the ushering of the 5G, the Internet of Things is appearing that it will define the way the data will be consumed and the reason that it will be consumed (GSMA Intelligence, 2014).

Therefore, the Internet of Things is touted to be likely differentiators between the 4G and the 5G. nevertheless, the challenge of providing low power, low-frequency networks to address the demands of the M2M deployment is not only specific to 4G or %g. therefore, it is unclear which of the weaknesses of the 4G that the %G will come to address.
