Regardless of the perceived benefits that this form of technology brings to human beings, there are some ethical issues associated with it. For instance, the idea of unethical hacking. Sometimes, these machines can hack into the lives of people. This can also become weaponized. In the business world, privacy is key to the success of organizations. For instance, a scenario in which the data of the company leaks into the public domain. This will threaten the existence of those organizations.             Another issue associated with artificial is openness.

Artificial intelligence favors this over the competition. In any organization, there exists some form of competition. This can include the open access to information that is a common feature with most of these machines. The recent trends in business indicate that competition is the main drive to acquire modern technology.             Furthermore, artificial intelligence has removed the sense of responsibility that was pivotal in the managerial decisions in organizations.

The recent developments in technology advocate for the action of machines without human control and intervention. Most artificial intelligence systems do not have the capacity to explain the action taken at a particular instance. When the machine makes a decision to execute a given task, the chain of responsibility is very long. With the recent improvements in technology, this chain is getting longer and longer. There is a need for explanatory capabilities for the machines in order to justify the decisions being made.

With artificial intelligence, trust is compromised. The social interactions with this technology require trust. This must be founded on transparency. For the artificial intelligence systems, there is absolutely no transparency. The development of the algorithms for this technology has been driven by the need to attain the goals. It has led to the emergence of black boxes that are opaque, for instance. In order to put human values at the core of this technology, there is a demand for the mindset of researchers to develop AI systems towards the improvement of transparency as opposed to performance alone.

Moreover, artificial intelligence has replaced people in the workplace. It has contributed to mass u employment. One machine has the capability of completing the task that was initially performed by approximately ten people. Unemployment has its consequences in society. For instance, an increase in the rate of crime is attributed to this issue.             In conclusion, artificial intelligence can lead to positive effects in society.

For example, a faster rate of doing work and also increased performance. However, there are drawbacks to this. It has many ethical issues ranging from lack of transparency and accountability. Therefore, there is a gap to be filled in the future pertaining to the improvement of technology that is aiming to improve the lives of human beings.
