It had the Hindu mythological figure of animals and vegetation. The second artifact that was observed was a royal peacock barge that depicted the Indian royal pleasure boat that was essentially enjoyed by Siraj-ud Daula, who was the governor of a place known as Bengal from the year of 1756 to 1757. He used the boats to ferry himself and his guest during a festival in Ganges River. It was called peacock barge because it had the shape of a peacock. In addition, it had an entertainment pavilion for music and dancers. The graced image of the goddess made it essential for the ritual immersion in Durga Puja festivals. Another image that was observed was the South Asian sculpture. It depicted an authentic quality and historical value. It contained 345 artwork that entailed painting and decorations that entail the history of the whole Indian art. It had a combination of Hinduism and Buddhism. It has the Hinduism, Brahm who means the creator, Vishnu who means the preserver, and Shiva who means the destroyer. Buddhism is depicted in the historical teachings of Buddha represented in the sculpture. The writings were the symbols of the teachings of Buddha and the Asian temples.
The iconology used in the sculptures were the religious history of various cultures. The two main were Buddhism and Hinduism. The images were devotional art because the images were depicting some religious aspects and elements in them. They were not expensive but expressional. The artists attempted to use contemporary art to elaborate on their culture. The art of that period was featured by vigorous styles in the sculptures and the painting. The sculptures were based on small-scale materials made of curved rocks and ivory (Chang 71). The illuminated manuscripts represented the traditional religion of the 7th to 9th centuries.
