Extract of sample "Employee Training and Development"

Jerry gives Francesca Corleone the responsibility to travel around the country in order to carry out his responsibilities. This prompts Francesca to neglect her own duties in order to meet the demands of her boss. As a result of Francesca’s frequent travel, her team of ten accountants enjoys free time and a lot of flexibility as compared to other teams. The problem with Francesca is that she makes the business trips adventurous and fails in not only the duties delegated to her by Jerry but also those delegated to her by Company XYZ.

The best way to go about this dilemma is to ask Jerry to step aside despite his close relationship with the CFO. This is the only way through which Francesca would get back to managing her team of ten accountants in order to maximize productivity within the team (Noe, 2013). Sara Sigfried is giving personal interests first priority at the expense of the organizational goals of Company XYZ. She ensures that the head of online chat, Frank Doughboy, goes to his Bahamas home every year only to spend time with him there for her yearly vacation.

She does this despite the poor internet connection in the Bahamas. As a result, Frank’s team has been unable to meet its goals. Sara ought to be given the responsibility of heading another department instead of the customer service department (Noe, 2013). It is only through this that Frank will be compelled to work from Pittsburgh by another boss with whom they do not have a close relationship. Harry needs to be transferred to another department as well. He needs to be barred from having direct contact with clients.

This is because he holds his previous harassment by one of the company’s employees as leverage and therefore cannot be fired for his unethical behaviors towards clients. From the first scenario, it is noteworthy that Jerry’s medical condition is making him unproductive and the fact that he has a close relationship with his boss makes him untouchable. Frank also makes his team unable to deliver but he is untouchable because of the relationship he has with his boss Sara. Jerry should, therefore, step aside and hand over his duties to someone who can do it as required without involving Francesca.
