The paper "Bronfenbrenner’ s Ecological Theory of Development " is a worthy example of an essay on psychology. Bronfenbrenner’ s Ecological theory of Development is a psychological approach to understanding human growth and development. In this paper, human behavior, particularly on child development, would be explained and discussed using the integration of ecological and sociological perspective. Relatively, the sociological approach also plays a role in determining human behavior for childhood. Thus, a sociological approach is similar with Bronfenbrenner’ s ecological theory in which both explain human behavior as a result of an interaction of biological make up of the man being exposed in the (stimuli) environment.

In terms of Bronfenbrenner’ s Ecological theory of Development, human behavior is understood as continuously developing. Man’ s biological functions/properties are exposed in the external mesosystem and influenced by the interacting institutions in the environment of the child/individual. Similar to the sociological perspective, human behavior is directly affected and influenced by the society and anything in the external environment as well. Sociological an ecological approach in explaining behavior maintains that human behavior is both a product of nature and nurture.

Ecological approach (including genes, biological, socio-emotional, and cognitive functions of man) involves the interaction of biological makeup and its interaction with interconnected systems in the environment, whereas the sociological environment explains that behavior is simply affected by its interaction and involvement of activities with society (Lareau 2003).
