Currently, I am focusing on my studies and will finish my bachelor's degree at the end of 2010. I moved from Thailand to study at CQU University (Brisbane). The new environment and culture have given me a new experience. We are a family of eight and have a business of rubber farms. The farms are in the villages and it takes us nearly 45 minutes to reach there. We also have an apartment in the central city where I lived with all my siblings i.e. an elder and younger sister and two younger brothers.

I went to a private girl school till grade sixth which was based out of my hometown. My dad expired and we were sent to a school in Chiangmai (North Thailand) for higher studies. My classmates were very helpful and took good care of us. In an accident, my mom also expired when I was in eighth grade. With the advent of the unfortunate event, we had to come back home. Our aunt who was the guardian took responsibility for the kids. My elder sister was sent back to an international school for pursuing higher studies.

After a while, again in the school at Chiangmai, we loved studying and it also gave me the opportunity to learn the English language.      The later years of my life were spent in school and I learned a lot of subjects. Being in a bi-lingual environment, gave us an opportunity to interact with a lot of other students. I was also involved in sports such as rock climbing, mountain biking, tennis, kayaking, and also became a good kayak player. The school was very supportive of the students who were keen on taking up sports and also environmental activities.

My favorite subject was geography. My classmates were from various countries such as Isreal, Norway, Germany, and China. I enjoyed interacting with them and learned about various cultures.      I have been a sports enthusiast and had started playing drums in order to be in the school band. I also enjoyed reading books and started writing. Being aware of the community and in order to reach out, I also helped kids who had AIDS or are orphans in rural schools nearby.

One another step includes teaching English and Computers. In the early part of my life, I was close to nature and the environment was congenial to interact and learn. The experience of being in the Thai school was exuberant and the memories will always remain with me. Some of my friends are still very special, and I visit them sometimes.
