Use of social mediaAccording to world statistics, Facebook is deemed to be the most popular social network worldwide and attracts 1.71billion users currently. This is a favorable platform through which a Facebook group can challenge people on the impacts of climate change, climate education, and sustainability. I purpose to explore possibilities on how I can develop a webpage that can be liked by willing participants and we invite the largest reachable crowd globally to like it as a means to pass information to the world, that environmental sustainability is very essential for the human race.

It will be a platform for knowledge and skill acquisition on how we can reverse the negative impact of human activities on the environmentSupport Government initiativesThe government has a bigger role to play through legislation and policies and programs that would alleviate the level of knowledge among citizens to the extent of implementing programs that are geared towards changing the understanding of the Sustainable environment. As so, through the Government initiatives, I will participate fully to ensure in my small way been at the forefront in letting the citizens know that the lives we live are vulnerable to health hazards because of a depreciating environment hence something must be done to reverse the trend.

Alternative economic activitiesEnvironmental conservation economic activities are friendlier and will increase both vegetation cover and economic growth as compared to other environment exploiting economic activities. Beekeeping is one such activity, a farmer will need more trees to keep more hives, as a result, make more money through the sale of honey whilst growing the forest, resultantly contributing to the reduction of climate change effects. I will advocate for increase green economic activities among the investors in our community.

Restoration of natureThe majority of us believe in the adage ‘believing is seeing, I plan to form youth and women groups in my neighborhood as a tool to show others the importance of a sustainable Environment. These groups will practically exercise environmental conservation through physical cleaning, planting trees, cleaning rivers, and educating on methods of soil and water management, demonstrating on use of organic inputs in the farm, selective choice of the type of trees to plant, and agroforestry.

According to the World’s Population Pyramids (2016), the world demographics indicate that we are currently about 7.4 billion people.
