However, many people denote that it is a lie to claim that global warming is caused by the activities of human beings. This paper looks at the arguments that explain why global warming is caused by human activities, and provides counter arguments on those who denote that global warming is not caused by human activities. This paper also analyzes the reasons advanced as why globalization is a dangerous phenomenon. Global warming refers to the presence of too much carbon dioxide in the air, and it acts as a blanket that traps heat and thus leading to the warming of the planet.

As we burn fuel like oil, natural gas for purposes of creating energy, coal, we release carbon dioxide in the air. Other forms of releasing carbon dioxide in the air includes cutting down of trees, plantations and pastures (Philander, 39). Agricultural practices, as well as some waste management policies aggravate this problem of global warming by releasing gases such as nitrous oxide, and methane in the atmosphere. This also contributes to the emergence of global warming (Archer and Raymond, 39).

Human beings are accused of cutting down of trees, and clearing of forests, as a result, they emit carbon dioxide in the air. It is also these human beings that are accused of burning fossil fuels in the atmosphere through exploration, mining, or domestic use of energy. This contributes to the emission of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Scientists argue that there isn’t any evidence that denotes that global warming is caused by the natural cycle. On this basis therefore, the only explanation of the causes of global warming are the activities of human beings.

Syukuro Manabe and other scientists proved that an increase of CO2 would make the lower parts of the atmosphere to warm, and the upper parts of the atmosphere to cool (Archer and Raymond, 39). This was on a research conducted in 1960 at Princeton University, in their fluid dynamics laboratory. From this research, scientists were able to prove the role of green house gas, like CO2, and water vapor in changing and maintaining the atmospheric thermal structure. This research marked the beginning of the study on global warming.

However, there are other people who argue that global warming is not caused by human factors, but the natural cycle. According to this people, they assert that global warming is caused by an increase in atmospheric CO2 and not the presence of CO2 in the atmosphere. It is the natural gas that introduces CO2 into the atmosphere. On this basis, even if human beings were not present into the world, 95% of carbon dioxide emission will still be present in the atmosphere (Philander, 39). However, Syukuro Manabe denotes that this carbon dioxide that is released into the atmosphere through the natural cycle, are balanced by the occurrence of natural sinks which are responsible for removing carbon dioxide in the atmosphere (Philander, 39).

On the other hand, Syukuro Manabe denotes that carbon dioxide emitted into the atmosphere because of human activities, does not have a corresponding sink that can remove it from the atmosphere. Another reason as to why global warming is not caused by human beings is that Carbon Dioxide is not a pollutant, as scientists denote.
