Hardening Test in the Plastic Area It is clear that the means for knowing tensile strain hardening in metals uses stress stain information derived in a uniaxial tension test. Tensile data are derived in a long and continuous process through strain control. The strain hardening means are determined from an experimental representation over the difference of interest of the real stress versus true strain curve. The report analyses the determination of a strain hardening material by tension testing of metals for which plastic movement behavior follows the power curve or true strain curve.

Test hardening technique works only on materials showing a continuous stress strain curve in the plastic area. This strain is utilized in a rate controlled and continuous way while the normal tensile load of a metal and strain are observed. In addition, it is significant to monitor the instant cross sectional region by assuming that the volume of the plastic region is constant. This method of testing hardness of metals offers an empirical mechanism for appraising the relative stretch formality of same metallic systems.

In addition, the report indicates that the tests reveal the increase in the stability and strength of a material because of plastic deformation. The most significant aspect to note is that the strain-hardening exponent may be obtained over the total plastic stress strain curve of the true stress strain curve stated in a metal specification. The strength and hardness of a metal limits the simplicity with which it can be tested and machined because the toughness of the materials decreases as its hardness increases.

From the experiment conducted, it is clear that the toughness and hardness of material depends on the ability of the metal to resist any form of permanent distortion and its ability to absorb energy or resist shock during industrial work or bridge construction. Standard specification for Gypsum concrete This specification talks about mill mixed gypsum concrete consisting particularly of calcined gypsum and relevant aggregate demanding the addition of water at the work location. Therefore, it is rational to argue that gypsum concrete is obtained mainly for utilization in the construction or building of poured in place roof slabs or decks.

The report indicates that the gypsum concrete must contain calcined gypsum in order to allow addition of wood chips and wood shavings in proportion to comply and meet applicable requirements for the test. The specification of gypsum is important it helps in the assessment and testing of aggregates, cement, and concrete. Gypsum concrete can possess different properties when mixed with other materials such as cement, aggregates, chemical, and admixture. These materials are mixed with good amount of water to create or form concrete, which is utilized as a primary construction material in bridges and buildings.

When testing the strength of gypsum concrete, it is important to note that the wood shavings or wood chips must be dry, clean, and uniform in order to attain reliable results. Further, it is good to consider physical properties of the materials whereby it would be necessary for gypsum concrete to have compressive strength. During construction, gypsum concrete is very vital since it is used to make strong slabs and pillars, which support the entire building. The specification standards for gypsum concrete is very significant since it ensures that construction materials are safe, permanent and easy to maintain.

Therefore, in absence of realistic specification standards and testing mechanisms for metals, the metal industry would be in problems. The standards and testing procedures are set to ensure safety and protection of the users and companies from negative impact related to failure of products.
