 Throughout my career, I have always intended to pursue new goals and challenges to learn different facets of life and to develop my skills as well as abilities. After receiving my Master’s Degree in Business Administration along with gaining a sizeable work experience by working in different fields with various organizations, I have decided to pursue my ultimate goal of completing my doctorate so that I am able to broaden the horizon of my existing knowledge. I believe that the Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) degree from your esteemed university would enable me to master the said subject area, i.e., business administration, in a comprehensive manner. I have gained professional experience in the field of research by working as a research assistant and a business analyst. From the said professional job experiences, I have developed a strong inclination and motivation towards learning the inner rudiments of any subject area. I have realized that the aspects of research as well as comprehending the research methodology are the key areas for reaching an eventual and well-developed outcome. I have been able to comprehend that the DBA program’s objective is also set on the same line to offer the learners an opportunity to assimilate knowledge and apply general research to rectify issues or problems in the workplace (Northwestern Polytechnic University, 2012). Therefore, I have complete faith and believe that through completing the course, I would be able to better understand the real world scenarios in the workplace, which would, in turn, facilitate me to take rational decisions in difficult circumstances. In order to illustrate my background preparations and my eligibility towards pursuing the said program, I would like to inform that I have completed my Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2011 from Texas A & M University-Corpus Christi, with a grade point average (GPA) of 3.8. I have also graduated with a Bachelor of Public Administration degree with a grade point average of 3.1 from the National Academy of Public Administration in Vietnam. Therefore, I possess an academic background in the field of business administration which would certainly enable me to grasp the intricacies of the DBA program very promptly. In relation to my work experience, I would like to mention that at present I am employed as a sales and marketing manager (business analyst) in Acronics Systems Inc. in San Jose, California. The work experience gained in the organization has facilitated me to work on the development of a proprietary system in order to manage and measure each day’s operations. Thus, in the course of developing such a system, I started to grow my interest in research, which has also motivated me to gather more knowledge and develop my skills even more so that in future I can provide benefit to my organization. I have experience in the teaching field as I worked as a teaching assistant for two months in Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi, College of Business. This experience has also made me inquisitive towards learning in depth about research as I was involved in conducting a research on e-commerce and relating the benefits of the Internet in business during my tenure as a teaching assistant. Moreover, in Texas A & M University- Corpus Christi, I participated in certain invaluable activities as the Vice President of Public Relations. I was part of the Vietnamese Student Association. I participated in a student research symposium during this period and prepared a thesis on e-commerce websites influence upon the purchase intentions of online shoppers in the United Sates. These involvements have not only enriched my knowledge and made me more inquisitive to pursue higher studies but also have earned me certain awards and certificates. I received a certificate of business analyst and a certificate of project management that acted as motivation for me to reach greater heights in future. I would like to mention that I am multilingual and have proficiency in a number of languages apart from English, such as Vietnamese, French, Japanese and Chinese. I believe that this unique skill of mine would be quite beneficial for me to learn intricate aspects during the DBA program efficiently. In relation to certain other background preparations obtained by me, I would like to enlighten that I had persuaded and performed vigorously during my internship level when I worked for Ho Chi Minh City Peoples Council as an analyzer of problems faced by businesses and, the opportunities prevailing for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) during the time period of 2002-2006. I also developed precise solutions for the enterprises so that they are able to function smoothly. I had to brainstorm vigorously to develop meaningful solutions; therefore, my inclination towards conducting research also took a positive turn from this job experience. During that period, I also worked as a marketer in Customer Insight Company, in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The activities performed during the service period include conducting marketing research regarding certain industrial products such as soft drink, milk and cigarette. From 2005-2006, I worked as a research assistant in the National Academy of Public Administration, Vietnam. The job responsibility was to instigate policies and relevant solutions for the administrative councils for attracting fresh talents in Ho Chi Minh City. During the period of 2006-2009, I worked as a personal manager, recruiting and providing training to fresh employees, handling insurance and payroll activities as well as organizing various social activities in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. With reference to your institution, i.e., Northwestern Polytechnic University (NPU), I would like to mention that I am very much concerned with the mission and vision of the University, which would help me to grow as an efficient learner and gather pertinent knowledge. I believe that through pursuing the DBA program in your university, I would be able to gather invaluable guidance from the renowned faculties which would be of immense benefit for me. Consequently, I believe that I possess necessary qualifications for applying for this course in your university. My experience in teaching, research based work and other internship experiences would assist me in enabling and spreading greater knowledge and skills within the university. I believe that I would also be able to aid my fellow students during the course through my learned work experiences, which can render the entire program to be valuable. Moreover, by getting admission in your esteemed university for the said course would help me to acquire productive knowledge and skills which would facilitate me to develop myself as a better human being. A degree of PhD DBA from your institution would help me in achieving my objectives in future. Furthermore, the program would also facilitate me to communicate with students of different cultures, which would enable me to pursue one of my interests of learning different languages. Therefore, with reference to the above presented facts, I would like to present myself as a suitable candidate for the course of the PhD DBA program. I believe that the entire learning experience during the course would be a joyous one for me, which would enrich my prevailing knowledge and skills manifold.
