Name Task Date Introduction A social public space is an area that people openly meet for socialization purposes without any kind of discrimination. Different persons has good reasons as to why they refer a social place in relation to the purpose for their gathering thus it plays a major role that contributing to both social and social-economic impact in a community. The main objective for people meeting in the social space mainly is the feel of association, attachment, perceived opportunities and individual or group history with that area (Dines and Cattell et al., 2006). Public space include; ex-cafe, strip club, night club, library, park, any work place, daycare. Gym, streets, markets, shopping centers, playgrounds among others. Mostly people gather in social places because they want to: feel good when relaxing, play games, interaction irrespective of sex, gender, age or race, discuss business ideas and share best practices all these aiming to create a cohesive community. However, public space activities is defined by the time people meet, day of the week, and what motivates the people to meet there in respective times. A night club is a social public space that facilitates social connections, innovative activities, interactions and making new friends’, a place where other people see business opportunity. This paper will analyses the night club social space, what happens there, common behavior bleed in night clubs, who frequents there and what motivate the individual or group attachment to the night club (Guerrero, 147). This paper wills to analysis the social behavior and changes in a nightclub. Involving both the employees of the nightclub and the clients focusing on their behavioral patterns and self-conducts while in the club. Similarly review what research states about nightclubs and the personality’s found in the clubs. Finally share the experience and conclude on the findings both from the research and the visit of the night club. Back ground information of a night club. A night club is a social space where people go for entertainment for a whole night. While here they can buy some type of food like meat that is common with alcoholic drinks, however, food and drinks are served as per the demand of the customer. Other freely smoke, join those dancing in the dance floor while other are relaxing, dating, playing games, business connection and social interaction. Night clubs are mainly located near popular bars, an area frequented by young people both professionals and students (Agardh,527)Different clients are attracted to this night club by various needs some are influenced by the djs innovation in music mixing and the choice of music in the clubs which targets specific age group or a kind of social behavior. This music includes reggae, country, hip hop and pop band, rock band, live band, presence of comedians. Some however are attracted by safety precaution and the presence of well furniture silence lounge where people can socialize or conduct parties. Night club are also now to sell a wide selection of expensive brands of alcohol, mix drinks and cocktails. Night clubs are run by staffs with specific mandates. The barmen and barmaids are responsible in ensuring that there is high quality service to their customers, security that ensures that there is peace inside and outside the club and also maintain the regulation that restrict the underage in the club (National Drug Research Institute, 2007) They are also mandated to call police if patrons cause commotion or violence that evoke fight and incase groups or an individual decides to take illegal drugs while there. There some night clubs that have trained caterers who take care of foods service in the club. Sometime Djs, comedians and life band are contracted for a night or week to ensure all the patrons are well entertained and that they have memorable night and encouraging them to return in the same club again. It is clear that if the main objective of the night clubs is observed then individual or groups seeking these facilities would always feel free to go there and encourage their friends to accompany them. However, this is not the case because the owners of these clubs are not able to ensure hundred percent safeties due to social behaviors associated with the night clubs indifferent part of the world (Graham K &Homel, 2008). Social behavior and change in a night club. Social behavior defines individual character and interaction in the society. There are acceptable and unacceptable behaviors in any society thus determining the type of environment that one can comfortably belong to either positive social behavior or the negative social behavior. Social psychology studies reveal that living thing lives in social groups where different individual has a role they play in the group. Emotional behaviors are dominant both in self and in social groups; Emotional are best defined by joy, excitement, anxiety, rage, sadness among others. Mostly a group of persons are bound with a particular emotion that is expressed by their specific behavior during the social group space. There are those who after some love music or a romantic dance demands for sexual intercourse with their dancing partner or a particular barmaid or a dancer. If the target individual resists there are abuse and sometime beaten (National Drug Research Institute, 2007) There are others who go to night clubs to drink attempting to evade facing their fears or pains and in the process if they are provoked they react and cause problems. On the other hand there are those who come as group for entertainment and the go home happy. Violence and aggression are common behavioral pattern in a social group in a night club. This is because even nonviolent individual in the group feels pressure to be violent to fit the groups’ lifestyle. This is very common particularly when they want specific sexual partners, past hatred, sewer deals and bets. There those who feel that they must get what they want any time anywhere and are always ready to do anything fulfill their desires. Altruistic behavior which is characterized by the desire to help others who might be undergoing challenging moment and the best way is to have a drink which they cater for. However, this people do this hoping that favors will be returned to them in the same way or otherwise in the future. On the same not there are those who have the habit of staying in the night clubs begging for drinks since they can afford. There those who appreciate being in the group that facilities dynamic growth. They regularly meet in night clubs that has silent lounge where they take drinks as there share developmental agendas that positive influence their individual life. While other seat in nightclubs watching matches or engaged with casino games. In each group, they are organized and there are rule that they adhere to in order to realize their goals. Abusive, verbal behavior is a common habit among alcoholic individual in a night club who are fond of screaming carelessly consciously or unconsciously to target individuals or group in a night club Graham K &Homel,2008). Their aim is to distress their target. Assaultive behavior where hostile acts are common in nightclubs particularly during matches and individual bet in the match or while engaged in casino games. This assault leads to aggression, fights, possible death and also police arresting. Personal experience My experience and observation in a nightclub has left me mesmerized by basically watching event as they happen in a night club. I was wondering how life is in a night club and what happens against what people say There are cultures in the night club that are acceptable in this setting but completely unacceptable in the society. Interacting with the staffs and hospitable clients in a nightclub opened up my mind to the extent of in-depth understanding of how nightclubs operate. This information empowered in my observation and as I also desired to understand the thing that either popularize or un-popularize the night clubs among specific age and social group. There are various social behavior changes that are very common in nightclub which are social public space for the students, youths and mid age men and women. Different age groups are attracted by various services that are available in the social public space of their choice. There are both positive and negative social behaviors in all public spaces. People in a night club are in groups of two and above who have similar behavior patterns. In my observation I noted that a few individual who find their ways into the night club are were strangers in the town who found it difficult to stay alone in their residents. There were those who came with a desire for entertainment in the dance floor and alcohol consumption while also seeking for a sexual partner. Although there are those who met in the night clubs for a drink as they deliberate on development or for a fun. There are those who also seek sexual partners from the attractive dancing girls that are commonly found in the club. It was evident to me that the peers and the environment of the social space (National Drug Research Institute, 2007) positively and negatively influence social behavior change, Approaches used in realization of individual or group satisfaction could be healthy risk for others. Youths are more vulnerable to anti-social behavior because they want to fit in their peer groups thus are more than willing to do anything to belong. The girls in the lesbians’ social group will necessarily not accommodate the straight girls while the guys will be interested to the guys unfortunately, if one does not belong to the social behavior recruitment take place particularly when one is drunk. Night clubs are place where sex workers hang around awaiting their prospective customer. On the other hand men come here to pick client or regular sexual partners. Some joins the dancers in the dancing floor where love song are commonly played which enhance sexual desires especially if the couple is under influence of alcohol. It is sad that romance takes place and very few remember to use prevention device despite the knowledge of HIV/AIDs and other venereal diseases (National Drug Research Institute, 2007) Dressing code behavior among females in a night club motivate sexual indigence from men whose initial idea was to have a drink and watch some memorable dance from the dance floor and then retire to their residences. There are those who go to the social space particularly night clubs with ill intention of taking advantages of the drunkards by stealing from them or worse drugging their target. They hail insults to those they have issues with resulting to commotion and sometime fight. Sometime it gets worse to the extent of police intervention. The barmen and barmaids are usually exposed to high risks of all sought of issues particularly sexual related. Criminal activities are planned and executed. Although the doormen provides security to the client of the club they have a bossy characteristic and mostly deny entry to a lot of person wishing to get entertained in the club some times because the customers are already drunk or are aggressive. Thus, lack of mutual respect between them and the patrons ends up in assaults. Research evidence There is a general perception that night clubs are site where bad things happen. A fact that (Farrell 2007:5) wishes to see change by ensuring that people start appreciating the important role played by night clubs which include provision of safe place, entertainment packages, food and drinks to both visitors and natives. A study in Lund university students revealed that 39% of sexually active students had multiple sexual partners a behavior that was associated with alcohol use.(Agardh, K. Odberg-Pettersson, and P. O. Östergren 2011). The night clubs are located in strategic point that is accessible by students. While here most student are influence to drink and thus feeling free to do what they are requested to do. Alcohol consumption decreases health risk perception thus increase HIV/AIDs infection risks (WHO 2005) According to the (Abdulhakim 2008) female who have sexual relationship with partners that use substance abuse as khat and alcohol do not use prevention gears during sexual indigence. This is subject to what they motivated them to go there if they went there for sex work they might have had no choice of partners because their need is money. Alcohol consumption is associated violence (Graham .K, Homel.R, 2008).This is subject to those exposed to alcohol related anti-social behavior that has caused harm to themselves or others. According to the National Drug Strategy household Surveys 2007 alcohol use and victimization is associated with alcohol-related violence. Research there for points out that heavy drinking and alcoholism are associated with physical aggression (Plant, Plant & Thornton 2002) Dancing communicates both to the dancer and the one observing the dance. Body languages from the dancers particularly in a night club are decoded as no verbal messages like eye contacts or touches differently by observers. Generally, women are known to exhibit these non-verbal communications than men (Guerrero, 1997) this is practice that most night club fun are aware and takes advantage of. It is from what I observed and learnt from research that has built capacity in me to have a better perception of night clubs. I was not very comfortable with the whole idea of night clubs but this has change because I know that not all in a night club are negatively influenced by anti-social behavior. I only wish that the fun would understand the different need of patrons and make these sites safe a friendly as it is expected to be. Conclusion In order to effectively address the alcohol related violence in the night clubs the managers should be keen to identify any anti-social behavior of their clients who are abusive after they are drunk or they have history of causing conflict in bars or even their work places. Thus, there is need to intervene to help focus on harm reduction as a result of alcohol use. On other hand the community and the government should also have a major role in curbing the anti- social behavior through health education and counseling, and building of self-esteem. This creates an enabling environment that facilitates change of perceptions and culture which impacts social behavior and change. Although night clubs are social space for patrons wish to have good times through entertainment or taking alcoholic beverages which facilitates anti-social behaviors in the clubs resulting to frequent lawsuits. It is important to understand why a specific social group perverse the club either good services that met their expectation or has a history of anti-social behavior that attract the patrons.  Work Cited Agardh, K.
