The paper "Terrorist Strike at the Heart of the United Kingdom Transport System" is a perfect example of a case study on politics. This is a paper where I am making an assessment of the management of a sudden terrorist attack. This is a case study regarding a sudden devastating attack made by the terrorist over the UK transport system. In this paper, my attempt is related to the management of all kinds that can well assist people with accurate information and reliability systems. This is a risk management task and the efficiencies are very much dependent on the promptness of the assistance and the mangers allotted to the whole management task. The paper discusses the incident in relation to the political and national implications of the event.
The follow-ups were all well managed and there was an understanding of the instructions as discussed in the International Journal of Emergency Management. I have also made an analytical inspection over the statutory services during such an emergency. The case It was exactly a moment of great terror when there was a sudden attack of terrorism in the UK transport system.
It was around 8:50 a. m. on the 7th of July 2008. The attack was exactly at the heart of the UK transport system. Added to this strike there was also equal and multiple explosions on a number of passenger trains. These were consecutively on the London Underground Circle Line tunnel between the route from Liverpool Street and Aldgate stations. The next was on the line was on the Circle Line just outside Edgware Road. Followed by this there was the third explosion in a Piccadilly Line tunnel between King's Cross and Russell Square.
This gets concluded with two more explosions within an hour. These were at the upper deck of a No. 30 bus in Piccadilly Square Manchester and a second on a high-speed train in the channel tunnel. The later estimations show that approximately 700 people have been killed in this sudden mishap. This further gets followed by many more being trapped in the wreckage at the various incident sites. There are more than 1600 people who are injured. The initial response to each of the incident sites is rapid, with emergency services' resources arriving on scene within minutes of the first calls being received at 999 control centers. the command and control structures It is very appropriate that the London Underground Network Operations Centre decides to declare a network emergency, added to the act of evacuation of the whole London Underground network.
This was not that easy as the whole area is always thronged with people on busy schedules. The command and control structure was initiated well by the London Underground staff and the assistance was well managed by the Manchester and Kent.
However as for my interpretation, in such an emergency, it is also very important to act worth the Rapid Action Force. As there is no assurance for further blasts the military and the police assistance turn up to be more necessary. Sally Buchanan, (2000, pp. 159-165) declares that the participation of the ambulance and fire crews were of great need during this emergency. The management was in desperate need of the appropriate participation of resources to have all the means for the identification of all kinds of apparatus to avoid any more mass casualties.
The whole system of management needs to get related to each location and that has to be made safe in order to bring in adequate prevention in the system.
