The article objective tries to offer an interpretation of the Peter Pan by analyzing characters and their role in explaining the theme. Wendy is obsessed with her mother’s love and tries to convince the lost boys to return home. Peter, however, convinces the other children that Mrs. Darling’s argument was not valid. Peter's desire was to convince children to remain in Neverland but the plan never worked as Wendy decided to return home and the lost boys followed suit. Mrs. Darling is delighted to see the children return and decided to adopt the lost boys (Rakove, 2010).

Analysis Barrie depicts the book's role by highlighting one of the key themes. The theme is on the role of a mother. Mrs. Darling often dreams of having children and reasons with her husband that children are viable financially. Ideally, a mother’s role in a family is rooted in the creation of a home. Arguably, the article covers Neverland as a form of showing a new world. Wendy's role was to create change and disruption by using her knowledge. This depicts the strength of the article as the Rakove explores all characters to cover different themes whilst working together.

Additionally, the article discusses the characters of Neverland as a way of showing Wendy’s inner world. This is significant in understanding the perception of Wendy and her encounters. The show of Wendy’s glide “down-to-earth” purpose - to “grow up” at her father’s command” corresponds to the discovery of her nature.  However, the article's weakness is based on the way Rakove does not tell about the reaction of other characters, for example, Peter Pan's influence on Wendy.

I have learned that patience and hope are crucial in our daily endeavors. Duty and responsibility guilds the characters in Peter Pan, it is critical to perform one’s responsibility to avoid conflict. The article will help me to create my ideas on approaching children's affairs.  Children also require good parenting, for example, the use of the island is to show the confusion children underwent.

Parents ought to be available to guide children on the right path. Equally, there is a need to provide a home for the lost in the society to restore human dignity like Mrs. Darling adopted the lost boys.
