New Fairy Tale Genre The town and country rat I don’t care confessing that I am a simple rat living by the side of the field in a very nice cozy. Someday I am very lucky because the famer leaves behind pieces of cake and when I am thirsty I enjoy a drink from the stream. Some years back one of my friends visited me from t own. Everybody in my family and village know that town rat is completely rich and he runs several businesses in town. At night I gave him one of my spare rooms to sleep in. in the morning when I went to wake him up… “Morning my dear friend” I said. “Morning to you” he replied… “How was your night?” I asked. “it was very fantastic I felt like not waking up, the environment is very cool not like in town where the night is very noisy”… I asked him joking “are you planning to move to the country side when you retire?” Town rat laughed as we shook hands. 2. The writer‘s choice of language plays a vital role in influencing and persuading the readers. For instance Pretor-Pinney in the book The Cloudspotter, clearly explains and expounds on how each and every type of cloud should be appreciated for their beauty. Logos means logical. This implies that k the writer persuades his or her readers with the use of reasoning. The writer of the cloudspotter uses different examples to trigger readers to think or reason more about some of the in stances that happens in relation to different aspects of the clouds. He narrates an example basing on the US Air Force who deliberately ejected from his plane above a heavy cloud of storm and took 40 minutes of weather buffering as he went down through the storm. The three discussed forms of persuasion falls under rhetoric and they play a vital role in any form of writing especially to win or persuade readers of the book (Pretor-Pinney & Sanderson, 2006). 5. Capote Authors considered to be successful have the ability to bring their view of the intended place without literally saying it or without giving the hint of the preferred landscape. To a certain extent, the author looks down upon the entire village and its main inhabitants; capote compresses all the villagers into one major category on the basis of their superficial similarities and the outward appearances instead of concentrating on the potential and abilities in discharging their duties. 6. Fictional Character I remember the day I was joining high school like it was yesterday, my mother had done her best to ensure that the favorite meal was prepared for dinner before I could travel to school the following morning. I felt like sleeping with my school uniform on. I did not sleep the entire night as I was thinking how my new life would be in my new school. I could not stop thinking about making new friends, working hard to pass my examinations and playing my favorite sport during games time. I knew perfectly well that the journey was to be tiresome, so I retired to bed as early as I could. After I was admitted in the school, I was directed to one of the best dormitory where I could be sleeping and operating from. After two months in the school, I met different friends who introduced me to negative activities within the school compound. I become a drug addict; as a result I developed into a notorious bully in the school. I had n o respect t f or my fellow students, this behavior went on and it become even worse when I started sneaking from the school and disrespected my teachers as well. These characters could not last for long before I and my friends was expelled from the school. A Story with a Twist in the End John’s grandmother was left a rich woman after her husband died ten years. Since the burial of john’s grandfather, he never made any efforts to pay a visit at her grandmother’s place. This was so until one of his first cousins James told him during the New Year eve bash about the alarming health condition of their grandmother and on how she was aging very fast. John took the initiative of paying a visit to her grandmother’s place; he was shocked to see how the health state of her grandmother was. At was his first time to meet one of the close friends to his grandmother called frank. He lived in the neighborhood but he used to spend most of his time in the house of the old woman. After a cup of tea and varied conversations, grandmother invited them with other two cousins for dinner over the coming weekend. During the weekend the availed themselves on time for dinner, they had fun and cracked jokes as they enjoyed the meals. It was late for grandmother to be awake; she opted to retire to bed as she felt tired and she had a favor too. After a couple of minutes john excused himself with the idea of visiting the toilet, he took long to return .frank and other cousins to john opted to check on grandmother and thank her for the delicious meal. It took them by surprise when they entered grandmother’s room, they could not believe; john had strangled grandmother to death with the aim of getting money that their grandfather had left for her. Frank called the police and john was arrested (Saylor, 2000). 7. Description of different voices in Grizzly Man (Werner Herzog, 2005) Grizzly starts by narrating the facts revolving around Timothy Treadwell and his dear girlfriend Amie Huguenard and the reason behind their death. This piece of truth will be deeply seated in an individual’s heart as they grow acquainted with Timothy and the massive crowd of animals that stay with the environment of his demise. The sad images of timothy’s girlfriend remain to be a mystery to many. The use of voice-overs portrays a lonely timothy talk and walk towards his only companion, his problem with female and above all his uncompromised love for animals especially foxes and bears.
