Part 1: Assignment The internship offers a great opportunity to develop a career and expertise within the real world. As information a Technology and Networking Intern, there are some codes of professional conduct that are detrimental during the entire session. Precisely, interns are required to act in a professional and ethical manner amidst other employed personnel in the organization. Prior to enlisting the codes of professional conduct, it is imperative to denote the standard professional guidelines that could contribute to a successful internship.

Most importantly, these codes are supposed to ensure that the organizational objectives are achieved. Codes of professional conduct during the internship I have to embrace regular communication - The first code of professional conduct that is detrimental in the internship is that of maintaining regular communication (Conduct Policy, 2011). Precise and regular communication between me and the internship coordinator and faculty internship coordinator is very important. It is one way of identifying and assessing the progress in the internship at the company. I ought to maintain the confidentiality of the workforce and the project of the company- The fact that I am given an internship opportunity in a company means that I get ample access to some of the crucial organizational information (Internships, 2015).

It is, therefore, considered, a professional requirement to observe the confidentiality of that information. I should maintain a positive attitude - It is essential for an intern to learn how to maintain a positive attitude. It is essential to learn to live and cooperate with the workers of the organization. It makes it easy for me to learn and get professional assistance with regard to how the organization operates. It is my duty to maintaining the code of conduct associated with drugs and alcohol- It is inappropriate for me to report in the organization while under the influence of alcohol or any other unauthorized drugs.

Failure to observe such ethics could lead to immediate expulsion from the organization. It could also reflect or give a negative impression on me. I should always dress appropriately -It is essential for me to maintain a decent code of dressing during the internship period.

Personal presentation is an ultimate expression of what one is and can do. Thus, organizations are likely to recommend or absorb me if I show decency. I should embrace group-performance- it is essential that I engage or learn to embrace group or collective performance. That includes the art of consulting each other before making any decision. I ought to demonstrate constructive criticism in the bid to improve performance- being part of the organization means that I have to ensure that he passes professional criticism when it is important (Fouad, Grus, Hatcher, Kaslow, Hutchings, Madson & Crossman, 2009).

Further, any form of criticism should not feature a selfish interest. It should be used to foster the achievement of organizational goals. I have to demonstrate professional conduct during the internship by enhancing professional effectiveness via improving skills and acquiring updated knowledge. I should also seek feedback and correction from the supervisors (Fouad et. al, 2009). That includes appreciating corrections in a bid to improve performance. It is also essential for me to show ethical conduct by respecting working hours. For instance, I should avoid conducting personal business during working hours. It is imperative for me to ascertain that one becomes open-minded.

That means that I should take time before making decisions that do not help to achieve and honor the organizational objectives and policies. I am supposed to familiarize myself with the organizational policies, rules, procedures, and functions that make up the organization. That makes it possible for one to engage with all stakeholders effectively. I ought to know that Time consciousness or punctuality is also a very detrimental element of an intern. It shows readiness to cooperate and achieve common goals. It is also essential for me to report arising issues such as a change in supervision, work schedules, and other related problems to the COS internship coordinator (Roberts, Borden, Christiansen & Lopez, 2005). I should demonstrate values of fairness and equity amidst other interns and permanent staff. I should now embrace the arising concept of global integration.

That involves respecting everyone’ s culture, religion, and race. It is also my responsibility as an intern to ensure that I do not misrepresent the acquired professional qualification in favor of disguised gifts and coercion. I am also required to complete all the work or duties assigned to me in due time.

That means that effectiveness and efficiency in performance are essential. It is also essential to take part in any form of company-sponsored activities and training sessions. That creates chances to gather additional skills and opportunities to create networks. I am also required to keep all the journals, contacts, record dates, special reports, and other relevant information that is beneficial for future reference.
