In the current age, cloud computing, online services, digital communication, and social networking are some of the leading IT investments made by most businesses (Powell & Dent-Micallef, 1997, 16).

Business transformation focuses on the strategic planning of business and Information Technology to deliver the on-demand value of the growing business innovation and development. Identification of the problems faced by various businesses and which can be addressed by the adoption of IT solutions involve analyzing and modeling the various business strategy and operations to determine the business transformation. After the analysis, an efficient generation of the relevant IT solutions, derived from the identified business models using the various techniques from software systems model-driven development. Finally, there should be continual monitoring of the business performance for improvements (Powell & Dent-Micallef, 1997, 44).

Business IT has been at the forefront of every business must-do list. It has become part and parcel of every small and large business. Most of the issues faced by businesses in regard to communication, information management, and accounting among others have received great priority in the IT world. A number of solutions exist in the IT market for some of these common business challenges (Dodgson, Gann & Salter, 2006, 121).  This report focuses on the best technologies to address a number of issues identified in ZNZ Education Adelaide. It goes to cover a number of research works, already done on the same to see the benefits which came with such IT transformations.

1.2 Research Justification

In the recent past, Information Technology has proved of great befits to businesses, more so in the fields of communication, data management, customer relationship management, and inventory management (Galí, 2005, 27).  This project uses this analogy and research finding as a pillar in addressing the problems being faced by ZNZ Education Adelaide. Moving away from their manual operations in the above areas, and taking in the new innovations, ZNZ Education Adelaide will improve operations. From the interviews with the various stakeholders in ZNZ Education Adelaide, we were able to find a number of problems they face in their daily operations. Also, we were able to deduce their expectations, and from this, we can conclude that ZNZ Education Adelaide needs a proper IT system that could aid in data and information management and communication.

A number of organizations in the recent past have embraced IT solutions in addressing most of their issues. Problems like the ones faced by ZNZ Education Adelaide have been addressed and innovation is still digging into more and more solutions. Companies have adopted the use of software like Google Drive to aid in their document management, which includes the storage and sharing of files. Also, organizations like NASA have adopted the use of Slack as a communication channel within and outside the organization. These adoptions have changed the efficiency and productivity within these organizations (Galí, 2005, 27).

In the current world of IT and innovations, failure to adopt IT solutions is staying behind in the market. From past research, a number of organizations are quickly moving away from analog or manual operation to digital. Activities such as marketing, communication, and data management, have all gone into information systems. The inventions of mobile phones and other communication devices have made communication quick and reliable. It has then been a challenge for organizations to come up with solutions that are these devices compatible. In that way, a positive change in productivity and efficiency in operations is guaranteed.
