The use of computers has also become a common trend that artists use to connect and inspire one another. Most of the time, artists use their works to strategically engage their consumers in the social and political events of the society that are defined at a particular moment.  Art usually serves political purposes in different ways. Art helps in defining the political and social movements in the history of different societies. There are significant issues and social organizations that provide platforms and strategies for artists to work on to achieve their goals. For instance, Picasso's sculpture, Demoiselles, has been used to express different social issues in society such as the debate on sexual relations and sexual violence against women in society (Gerstenblith, & Roussin, 2008).

The masterpiece also represents an artistic revolution. The different forms of visual representation play a critical role in contemporary social activism as there is a different history of wall painting that is used today as a way of expressing discontent. Additionally, the events that happen in society can be represented in artistic ways to form a bridge between movements, past, present, and future.
