In this report I will discuss about the Stakeholder and Governance analysis of the BP solar energy project by BP Solar Australia. The aim of this paper is to find out the main stakeholders and strategic governance aspects through stakeholder and governance analysis. Introduction This project was started by BP Solar Australia which has approached the Philippines government with a concept for large-scale implementation of solar power across rural communities, and received a favorable response. I will elaborate this project to find the main stakeholders of this project and to determine the basic needs of project governance. This analytical study will help us to enhance the project management process of this project. AIMS The basic aims of this project are to Critically analyze the different aspects of this project. Conduct a comprehensive study to access the real motives of this project. critically analyze this project to determine its area of influence; Conduct the governance analysis for the better project management and planning. Stakeholders This section is completely about the stake holder analysis. In this section I will present different techniques to access the stakeholders of this project. Project manager has the responsibility for the management of the project needs to have a well defined process (Kenneth, 1998). In this project the project manager has to streamline the main resources and financial aid to plan for the successful completion of this project. BP solar energy company has to make use of the local workforce and regional resources for this project to support them and this will also take less investment for the project. The government and Ministry of Finance of Philippines have to originate and establish such parameters to renovate this project development and also contact to international donors for their better support for the project. Local communities have to produce the innovation in the public and raise funds to support this project for its successful completion. Scope The analysis I have conducted for this project has provided us a roadmap for the better project handling and management. I have identified to main stakeholders of this project, by this information we have get the clear picture of people and instaurations those are attached, affected, influenced and take advantage for this project. This is basically a public welfare project to provide the electricity to people who does not have this facility in far from area of Philippines. In this analysis I have found that general public is the biggest beneficiary of this project. So this analysis will help in the better resource planning, management and distribution. Context This information is used by the project manager for the enhanced resources planning and resource planning. As I have identified and mentioned the international and local donors for this project. We can stimulate them for the betterment and welfare of public to raise the fund for this project. This information can also be used by the governmental institutions to have better project understanding; then it can planned easily for next stages for the project. We can also use this analysis for targeting our main workforce areas, to extract the less costly, easily available and local workforce for this project. Significance This analysis will be helpful for Better: Resource planning Financial planning Workforce selection Funds rising Project portfolio Project analysis Negative stockholder identification to counter there effects Conclusion In this report I have presented the BP solar energy project at Philippines. I have analyzed and discussed the main Stakeholders of this BP solar energy project by BP Solar Australia. I have found out the main stakeholders of this project and their concerns to this project. I have also streamlined the project governance scenarios regarding this project. I hope that this analysis will be helpful for the better project management and execution. References 1.
