Extract of sample "Global Warming Issue"

Global warming has been one of the most prominent issues that has dominated the frontier in the 21st century. Global warming has created many issues that continues to deploy the debate of alternative energy sources. The Earth undoubtedly has been many changes over the years that has been the key force. this paper will examine a comprehensive understanding of the alternatives in this debate for energy conversation. Without a debate, global warming is detrimental to the Earth’s atmosphere as it depletes the ozone layer and creates a greenhouse effect. Conducive research indicates that the main activities that threaten global forests are deforestation, erosion, and air pollution. Erosion and urbanization continue to be the main culprit that has destroyed livestock. Peterson (2005)Agriculture demands in have slowly exponentially have to be in compliance with the environmental rules that propagated the cause for deforestation. As a matter of fact, this article is firm to promote an organic approach that would diminish integrated pest management and safe use of insecticide, pesticides, weedicide, and herbicides. As a result, water resources are scarce because of obvious human development as water pollution and corrosion continue to plague the eco system. Water resources depend on the hydrologic cycle, on climate change, and to some degree on fossil water in the ground. Peterson (2005) The constant depletion of natural resources are building up atmospheric pressure that is detrimental to the environment. As a result, the massive amount of population growth and the associated increase in agriculture, which has incite to utilize groundwater resources. It is evident that water scarcity will be an issue. Hence, this poses a serious problem of seeking other sources for energy, which results in burning fossil fuels. Burning fossil fuels is a detriment to the environment because it forces climate change. This is a mitigation risk that needs to be embedded. One of the high focal points that has been emphasized over the years as an alternative approach for energy source has been solar energy in this realm. The utilization of a solar initiative can be a very robust solution that can be utilized for powering residential and industrial purposes. One of the many advantages that solar energy offer is substantial reduction in pollution since no waste product is yielded. The production of energy is being derived from use of fossil fuel. Another great facet that solar energy offers is the fact that it can harness electricity in remote locations. Undoubtedly, this provides flexibility and a seamless integration with the nation’s future technology roadmap. Nolch (2006)Embedding solar panels in remote location are cost-effective and can create a channel for an optimized energy production. The thought of an environment in which sun energy is utilized to power the communities and the nation’s infrastructure can certainly be possible. Although this innovative approach has been studied over time, but does have drawbacks. One aspect that cannot be sacrificed in this realm is quality of service. Wind panels do not offer the best quality, which can be a huge flaw in the design itself. The idea is very maturing, but does not provide enough vendors in the market to offer this solution. Wind power has become one of the most rewarding source of renewable energy. Wind Power possesses a huge industrial base that has become a primary source of energy all over the globe. Wind energy is alluring because it produces no fuel costs unlike other options that are available with renewable energy. As electricity prices continue to skyrocket, wind power offers a comprehensive end-to-end solution. One aspect of wind energy that is worth mentioning is the fact that it does not fit the aesthetic values of modern day community standards. In fact, this cosmetic change might be a drawback for communities that emphasize a more natural look. Since wind panels take up a lot of land usage, not many communities will have the budget or the resources in this matter to support this type of projects. Wind and solar energy combined can be an aspect that can be the focal point in this realm. With so much discussion revolving around energy, it is no surprise that science and technology have surpassed the standards for energy sources. Kitson (2011) Currently, nuclear energy has become the grounds for providing 16% of energy worldwide. An interesting element about nuclear energy is the fact that it is produced naturally from the fission of the suns and stars. For many decades now, scientists are able to revive energy based on nuclear fission of breaking atoms. That nuclear power plants are able to produce electricity long after coal and oil become scarce. Another aspect that nuclear reacts optimize is the pollution that is yielded by coal and oil. Since coal and oil emit pollution, well-optimized nuclear power plants contain pollution is a very effective manner. Bursh (2009)The biggest controversy related to nuclear energy is quite simple--its dangerous. Undoubtedly, nuclear reactors are a dangerous element because they yield radiation. Radiation is the explicit cause of destruction and chaos if a reactor disaster occurs that can claim millions of lives. Throughout history, many total meltdowns have occurred that make the government and communities weary of embedding nuclear reactors in communities. The end waste product that is produced as a result can also create disposal issues. Nuclear waste must be handled with caution and should be catered through special cooling pools. Hence, the cost of creating these pools is an issue that may not be cost or environmentally feasible. From the organization standpoint, Greengulf as they’re selling their solar initiative. Nolch (2006)It is clear that many followers of the company approve the CEO Omran Al Kuwari, who is talking on current initiatives that one of the high focal points that has been emphasized over the years as an alternative approach for energy source has been solar energy. A solar initiative can be a very robust solution that can be utilized for powering residential and industrial purposes. One of the many advantages that solar energy offer is substantial reduction in pollution since no waste product is yielded. The fact remains that green energy is much more available today for utilization. Kitson (2011) One argument against the utilization of utilizing alternative sources is clearly the capacity of alternatives to fuel the cumbersome and are not in the maturing stage. One aspect of wind energy that is worth mentioning is the fact that it does not fit the aesthetic values of modern day community standards. In fact, this cosmetic change might be a drawback for communities that emphasize a more natural look. Although these are small facets, they do create a big compelling argument. References Kitson, J.
