The table above presents the consumption of natural gas and electricity in the three warehouses including the regular and express routes. According to the table above, the consumption of natural gas and electricity in the regular route is way higher than that of the express routes given the average hours the parcels spend in the warehouse. For instance, it presents that in the Melbourne warehouse the LPG forklifts (gas- 3 tonne) consumed a total of 0.04KL for the regular routes while the Melbourne warehouse using the express routes consumed a total of 0.

02KL Also, comparing the electricity usage of the electric forklifts in the Melbourne Warehouse, using the regular route led to a consumption of 389.49Kwh while in the same warehouse using the express route consumed a total of 235.14Kwh. Thus, when comparing the consumption of natural gas and electricity for other parcels as presented above, one perceives that the regular routes consume more energy than the express routes (Dhooma & Baker, 2015).The energy consumption of the natural gas in the Melbourne warehouse using the regular service is presented above.

Melbourne Warehouse: The Melbourne Warehouse is a large warehouse, where the area of the warehouse is 11787m2, while the office area consensuses area of 4080m2, which is also the district heating area. The refrigerant storage area of the warehouse is 300m2.  The warehouse has 14 electrical forklifts, where they consume electricity at 6.3Kwh/h (Dhooma & Baker, 2015). The warehouse also has 3 LPG forklifts, where their fuel consumption is 5.4kg/h. Electricity in the warehouse is mainly used for lighting the warehouse as presented by Ries, et al., (2016), and evidenced in the Melbourne warehouse where the lighting consumes 400 watcher hour through Greenup highway where 45 warehouses use the Green Upadhyay.

Offices in the warehouse consume 40 watts per hour, where the warehouse has 365 offices operating. Additionally, about 120 watts per hour is consumed by of office equipment as computer monitors. The Melbourne warehouse has 35 office equipment that consumes electricity.
