Introduction Advances in screen technology have continued to take place in various regions of the world, as a result of sustained innovations. In 2015, for example, life will be held through more personal, pervasive, interactive and immersive screens. According to Jain et al (74), Screen culture is less of a development in itself, and more of the medium in which so many developments in the technology world will manifest themselves. Touch screen technology is one of the current screen culture technologies that have been utilized in different ways. Touch screen technology has been utilized in, many devices such as personal computers, game consoles, smart phones and tablet computers. They can also be attached as terminals to networks or to computers. Touch screen technology has played a major role in digital appliances designs such as satellite navigation devices, video games, mobile phones and personal digital assistants. Screens culture is expected to be mobile, cheap, ubiquitous, intuitive as well as interactive through tablets and touch screen. Various applications of touch screen technology have emerged because of increased innovation around the world. Screen culture So, whether it is the convergence of online and offline marketing, consumers tapping into the touch screens technologies to decide and discover on new products with the help of their fans, friends and followers, or the never ending mega trends of people over depending on internet knowledge, expect all the people’s culture to be influenced by all-pervasive screen culture. Touch screen technology only marks the test of things expected by the digital population in 2015 and beyond. According to Crossley (464), Screen technology has been applied in various places around the world. The United Kingdom supermarkets chain Sainsbury’s in partnership with Sky television is allowing shoppers to enjoy watching key sports events while they purchase and shop goods using iPad speakers and docks. The sky go trolley comes complete with an onboard battery with self-charging solar panel, tilting IPad holder and speakers. All sport minded individuals need only to download the sky streaming application onto their device or tablet before loading it into the dock of the shopping cart (Larsen, 39). The United Kingdom parliament’s parlamentarium is the major visitor’s center in the United Kingdom and combines history and multimedia in twenty-three languages to show the daily lives of European Union citizens. A three hundred and sixty digital surround screen takes tourist into the heart of European parliament action by utilizing touch screen applications. One unique characteristic of the technology is that it caters for all the twenty-three European Union official languages through the use of iPod touch devices that has been configured in various languages.8ta a South African mobile telecommunications brand recently installed a touch activated windows in the building, enabling the customers to browse the retailer’s catalog in twenty-four hours a day (Larsen, 39). The store had whispering windows that acted as a speaker, allowing people to hear about products as well as observing them in the shop front. In September last year, the Chinese technology firm Huawei and Sichuan hotspot chain Hao Di Lao announced a partnership that was centered at installing telepresence screens in both Beijing and Shanghai restraints. The technology enabled the customers to share their hotspot meals with colleagues and friends located elsewhere by utilizing the screen technology. Screen culture examples will continue coming, and some of the current screen technology includes the iPad3 and Ipad 5. Large screens will witness an overhaul too from Samsung’ s SmartTV and Apple iTV to a whole host of applications such as Google TV to Sony plans. People’s use of electric media including video gaming and internet has increased dramatically in the total world population. Over the years, screen technology has continued to expand. Touch Screen culture provides a suitable environment in which screen projects are made, developed, appreciated, discussed and viewed. Screen culture has played a vital role especially in film and industry and the community. Screen culture began to develop a couple of decades ago. Screen technology has evolved ever since as a result of support from both the government and the nongovernmental organizations ( Placek, Robert and Frank, 2). The aspect of screen culture that is desired by many people is often related to exhibition and films. In the recent years, for example, digital technology has made a reality to witness a range of rediscovered, restored and very obscure titles that is acquired through digital downloads. There is although continued desire by film lovers to watch films on big screens surrounded by friends and fellow film lovers. And while events and film festivals go in the same direction to satisfy such desires, the dream of national screening circuit in a country such as Australia offers rich diversity of retrospective, curative programs and other national cinemas all presented within a contextual perspective. Touch screen technology was first developed at Malvern University by E.A Johnson nearly six decades ago. The first touch screen is the one mostly utilized by current Smartphone technology. Ten years later after the first touch screen was developed, Dr. Hurst, a Kentucky University’s instructor developed a milestone to touch screen technology. Dr. Hurst in association with his company patented and developed a resistive touch screen technology that is considered among the famous screen technology of the century. Despite the many benefits associated with touch screen technology, various disadvantages have been associated with it. Touch screen technology is often expensive and the user has to be closer to the device in order to utilize it. Moreover a slight crack on the screen can make the whole screen functionless. Advances in screen technology will however result to development of a highly resistant screen (Spielmann, 145). There are certain cities in the globe where people can tell what will be coming next in the field of screen technology as it happens today ( Placek, Robert and Frank, 2). Tokyo for example still offers the most sophisticated technologies in the world with screen technology experience taking place in nearly all places and targeting dad to day activities such as purchase of tickets, paying for goods and verifying personal identities. As we rely more on screen technologies such as laptops, phones and tablet computers to acquire and share information, as we create more interactive and sharper large scale electronic signs in the streets, stores and on billboards, it is important to look at cities that offers glimpse into screen global screen technology future. South Korea is home to Samsung and LG, local manufacturers who are also considered as top international leaders in sales and touch screen technology. In Seoul, there exists willingness to experience with the torch screen culture devices. In various stores located in major cities today, torch screen technology has been utilized to advertize products instead of cardboard advertisement for candy, gum, credit or debit card swiping devices as well as text-only screens. Screen technology has also positively impacted on the education systems around the world (Marks,220). In South Korea, for example, the government has a plan in place to substitute all books and paper works with screens; tablet computers, a screen technology will replace paper within the next five years. The trend has also been replicated in other parts of the world, especially in most developed countries in the world. Touch Screen technology remained a focus of many innovators in various regions of the globe in a decade ago. Screen technology has been utilized in advertisement of jobs and passing other forms of information to people. Touch Screen technology, for example, has fascinated many people by its seamless, Instant and advanced recalibration of the surfaces. High-resolution display has continued to be moved to other parts of the world and has continued to offer surprising interaction. The future most often relies on the past; the South Korean touch screen technology and screen culture has most often been linked to the old tradition of the screen culture in Asia. Think of the beautiful painted analog screens that had adorned homes many years ago in the same region. Currently, screens are being reinvented for the digital era. South Korean companies are creating new touch screen technologies that hark back to years of paper imagery. E-ink an American company, for example, has been working closely with Neolux, a South Korean company to take e-reading technology to huge screens for advertisements used in stores in Asia and other parts of the world. The utilization of the technology in shopping environment has attracted millions of buyers from around the world. Conclusion If you are shocked by the idea that touch screen technology changes our behavior, then it is time to think again. Have you seen children pressing some individual shapes on posters that are static, thinking that they may be able to move them around as they do with their torch screen tablet computers? The answer is most likely yes. As screen technology become more popular in most parts of the world, they have changed the way people interact with surfaces and images. The ubiquity of touch screen mobile phone technology in South Korea is promoting innovation that cuts across handheld screens and display screens. One of the best examples is the introduction of a complete torch screen virtual store in one of the supermarkets in South Korea known as Home Plus. Of course, virtual store technology is just an example of advanced touch screen technology. Every purchase done is recorded and offer marketers and retailers data on what consumers are interested in. In the future, the proliferation of screen culture around the world will be more than just a typical occurrence. We will not only read screens, but they will also read us (Larsen, 39).
